how many pictures will we receive?
I am excited to announce that in 2026 all of my photography portrait packages (family, children, maternity, couples, branding, milestones, etc.) will become "all-inclusive". Instead of selecting a limited number of images, every session now includes the full gallery of all of the beautifully edited moments. So, you can now simply relax, enjoy your experience + keep every detail we created together!
when will I receive my images?
Sneak peeks are returned within 48 hours of the end of your session, full proofing galleries are delivered 14 days or sooner from your session. During peak seasons (fall, Christmas + wedding seasons) sessions may be delivered up to 21 days after your session.
how should we dress for our family session?
Great question! During your booking process you'll have access to exclusive style guides + outfit insight from Liz!
Where should we have our session?
When booking with Dawson + Co. you will also receive a custom location guide to help you see what your images would look like at various locations around the Quad Cities to help you pick the spot that best fits your session!
what’s the best time to have Lifestle session with a newborn?
Sessions highlighting a new addition to the family are best complete within the first 14 days of life, when the babies are extra sleepy + the most snuggly. Sessions should be completed whenever babe is the most sleepy + immediately following a feeding for best results.
what's the best time of day to shoot?
Sunset, of course! About an hour before sunset is the absolute best time to start your session, it'll create the most amazing golden light for the images. Sunrise sessions can also create the same effect, but we will avoid middle of the day outdoor sessions in most situations!
what if we have to cancel or reschedule?
Reschedule/cancelation information is thoroughly gone over in your contract signed when booking your time slot, but in general rescheduling due to sick members of your party or rescheduling due to weather is done at no consequence to the Client. Weather reschedules are at the final sole discretion of the Photographer. Reschedules will be made to accommodate both the Client + Photographers schedules.
